ROLE: Lighting Design Engineer

DETAILS: Full Time - Dublin West

 

DESCRIPTION:

As a result of increased customer demand for lighting designs coupled with strong sales growth, an opportunity has arisen for an in-house Lighting Design Engineer role within the Technical Department at LED Group. The right candidate will perform a pivotal role in supporting the Sales Team (Project Engineers in particular) to win projects by providing top class lighting designs and related BIM files. This is an exciting time for the business, which is expanding rapidly into new sales channels and there will be plenty of opportunity for further training and upskilling. The ideal candidate would have good commercial lighting knowledge, a history of technical support and customer communication, together with project management experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with Sales Team primarily, and other key stakeholders in the delivery of lighting design projects.
  • Review and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that meet specification requirements.
  • Deliver lighting designs as requested by Sales Team within agreed timelines.
  • Project Management, take ownership of lighting design projects as allocated by the Lead Lighting Design Engineer.
  • Support the Sales team in the tendering process.
  • Carry out comparative analysis of ROBUS vs Competitor products through lighting designs and reports.
  • Maintain product photometric files.
  • Create product BIM files using Revit.
  • To assist in technical support functions as business needs demand.
  • Other tasks/activities as assigned by the Department Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • 1 to 3 years lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux.
  • Technical graduate (e.g. IT/Engineering/Design) preferred.
  • Experience in working with CAD files to create suitable lighting designs.
  • Good working knowledge of lighting-related standards, schemes and calculations.
  • Customer Service Orientated.
  • Teamwork.
  • Results focussed, the ability to handle large volumes of data and to run multiple projects concurrently.
  • Persistent and diligent with focus on attention to detail.
  • Assertive and dynamic with willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
  • Clear communicator – written and verbal.

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

The ideal candidate would also possess the following:

  • Relevant experience in the lighting industry.
  • Understanding of building services.
  • Proven track record of office and industrial lighting design.
  • Knowledge of BIM preferred.
  • Computer Aided Design Software (AUTOCAD, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD and Revit software to generate BIM files.

ROLE: Quality Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to support the Technical & Quality Department as it scales and adapts in conjunction with strong growth plans for the business. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role with an ambitious company in the fast-paced lighting market. The right candidate will be action-orientated and work well in an environment where employees are fully empowered to make the role their own and achieve goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To co-ordinate transition of QMS (Quality Management System) from 2008 to 2015 version of ISO 9001.
  • To co-ordinate implementation of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
  • To ensure ongoing compliance and carry out continuous improvement activities on the QMS to best meet the needs of the business as it grows.
  • To play an active part in cross functional teams on relevant projects.
  • To lead investigation into quality issues across the supply chain and drive corrective actions to resolve.
  • To apply risk management principles across the supply chain.
  • To assist in optimising product testing and validation processes.
  • To maintain metrics and generate reports to demonstrate progress.
  • Other tasks, duties as assigned by the department manager.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Technical graduate (Engineering/Quality).
  • 3 to 5 years Quality/Engineering experience with strong technical aptitude.
  • Customer Service oriented.
  • Process driven and results focused, persistent and diligent with focus on attention to detail.
  • Assertive and dynamic with willingness to learn and take responsibility.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Clear communication - written and verbal.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Previous LED lighting experience would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of MS EXCEL and SAP Business One.
  • LEAN experience and qualifications.

ROLE: Internal Sales Representative

DETAILS: Full Time - Dublin West

 

ROLE:
To provide world class customer care to all ROBUS customers, internal & external. To maximise every opportunity to create additional value via sales & business analysis


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking all calls and sales enquiries, UK & Ireland
  • Answer calls promptly (within 10 seconds)
  • Entering Sales Orders onto our SAP Business One system
  • Make Pro-Active Sales Calls to increase PQ & order value
  • Tracking of field & internal promotional activity
  • Managing ‘fasttrackmyorder’ & ‘fax-to-email’ mailbox and filing system
  • Generating Sales from special offers and keeping track of same
  • Replying to info@led.ie emails
  • Dealing with Technical Queries
  • Releasing Back Orders
  • Working as part of a Team
  • Creation & communication of quotations
  • Dealing with, following through of all enquires and any complaints
  • Support to External Sales Teams. i.e. Assist with budgets, promote special offers to all customers, daily & monthly reporting assistance
  • Checking figures and reports daily for Reps and reacting to same
  • Chairing/Taking part in Daily Team Kick-Start meetings
  • Helping out with communication of promotional material
  • Misc. matters/reports relating to sales
